Brittany Culbertson
Brittany Culbertson has taken an interest in pelvic floor physiotherapy since having a placement in this area while at Western University for her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree. She found this a very interesting and under serviced area of physiotherapy to work within. As well, she has dealt with her own issues related to pelvic floor through ulcerative colitis and knows how much an improvement in pelvic health can drastically change your quality of life. For Brittany, it is important for people to know that pelvic floor dysfunctions, while they can be common, are not normal to have and are quite treatable through pelvic physiotherapy.
Brittany has graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and from Western University with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She is in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, while also being rostered to perform pelvic internal exams, acupuncture, some spinal/joint manipulations and soon to be rostered in dry needling. She is also a member of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association and Canadian Physiotherapy Association in the Women’s Health Division.
Outside of work, Brittany enjoys many outdoor activities with her partner including camping, hiking and rock climbing. She also plays competitive volleyball in Sudbury.
