Radial Shockwave Therapy

Reduce pain. Stimulate healing. Get back to doing what you love.

Radial Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. It can help improve blood flow, reduce pain and sensitivity, and promote tissue healing in areas that have become irritated, tight, or slow to recover.

At Inspire Physio, Radial Shockwave Therapy may be used as part of your physiotherapy treatment plan to address both acute and persistent musculoskeletal conditions. Treatment is tailored to your specific condition and combined with exercise, hands-on therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques when appropriate.

Radial Shockwave Therapy may be beneficial for:

  • Tendinopathies, including tennis elbow and Achilles tendinopathy
  • Plantar fasciitis and heel pain
  • Shoulder pain and tendinopathy
  • Patellar and other tendon-related pain
  • Muscle tightness and chronic muscular pain
  • Persistent or difficult-to-treat soft tissue injuries
  • Conditions that have not responded well to other treatments

Treatment typically takes just a few minutes and does not require needles or medication. Some discomfort during treatment is normal, but your physiotherapist will adjust the intensity to ensure the treatment is appropriate and tolerable for you.
