Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy

Pelvic floor physiotherapy focuses on the muscles, connective tissues, joints and nerves that support the pelvis and contribute to bladder, bowel and sexual function. Pelvic floor dysfunction can affect people of all ages and genders and may present as pain, weakness, tightness, pressure, or difficulty controlling bladder and bowel function.

At Inspire Physio, pelvic floor physiotherapy provides individualized assessment and treatment to identify the underlying factors contributing to your symptoms. Treatment may include education, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, relaxation and breathing strategies, movement retraining, and other evidence-informed techniques tailored to your needs and goals.

We commonly treat:

  • Urinary leakage and urgency
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Pelvic and abdominal pain
  • Pain with intercourse and sexual health dysfunction
  • Bowel and constipation concerns
  • Pregnancy and postpartum pelvic floor concerns
  • Pre- and post-surgical pelvic rehabilitation
  • Men’s pelvic health concerns
  • Tailbone and pelvic pain
  • Core and pelvic floor weakness
  • Pelvic pain associated with conditions such as endometriosis

Our goal is to help you better understand your body, improve pelvic floor function, reduce symptoms, and feel more confident returning to the activities that matter to you.
